I am an eclectic artist, often inspired by my connection to nature. Painting and drawing have always been at the forefront of my work, but recently, I’ve been exploring larger installations with a focus on community and connection. If you would like to see my more recent work, I regularly update on Instagram.
I love experimenting and often use free-hand drawing and painting techniques in my creations. These authentic lines form a unique visual language of tangled patterns, showcasing the therapeutic effects of meditative freehand mark-making.
My paintings over the years have also depicted grids and lines that connect viewers to our environment through aerial views and angular compositions. Over time, my style has progressed to include flowing, organic shapes, often inspired by images of coastal locations and the beauty of the landscape from above. With many showcasing my home on Awabakal land (Newcastle, NSW). I have additionally incorporated the movement of the ocean in a body of work, highlighting waves. I also enjoy playing with figurative elements from time to time, focusing on emotive issues.
As a solo mum, I work part-time in the disability support field, and I also enjoy spending time in my garden and nature. However, painting in my art studio, while listening to music, is where I spend most of my time.
